Why a bath sheet beats a bath towel
Wikipedia's towel entry gives a typical bath towel as 30 x 60 inches. That's the size most towel sets are built around, and it's why so many fat people end up with a towel on each side.
Wrap math: how long does your towel need to be?
To wrap a towel around yourself and tuck it, the towel has to be longer than the measurement around your widest point, plus some overlap to hold the tuck. Measure around your hips or belly, whichever is bigger, then add at least 8 to 10 inches.

- Size for your largest measurement. A wrap robe has to overlap at your widest point. If your hips are a size up from your bust, go with the hips.
